Bethenny Frankel's NYC Apt.

I was just so excited for it.

I really was.

I watched her show. The new HUGE apartment seemed to have so much promise.

She used the designers that did "Something's Gotta Give." Remember how amazing Diane Keaton's house was in that movie?

Well...Frankel's has NONE of that warmth and appeal.

I know she's getting divorced so part of me wondered "Did this happen because she and Jason weren't getting along? they couldn't agree on anything so it turned into this cold, white mess?"

The ONE sweet spot? Baby Bryn's room.

This kitchen is in some desperate need of a little warmth. I'm not sure Cookie is even happy!

I'm not a huge fan of this either, but that's just me.

What do you think? Love it? Hate it? Am I WRONG??

Rock this Tuesday!

Waaaaay too cold and hard in my opinion. The SGG house is my all time favorite. Probably my all time favorite movie, too.
Poor Cookie.

No, you're not wrong. It's so cold I'd need to wear three coats in there in the summer, and some wool long johns too. Also, the flag thing on the wall is atrocious. I love the baby's room though! I want that wallpaper.

Um, is that a home, or a hospital? 'Cause it looks pretty darn sterile and brrrrrrr!

Of course, I live in a hot mess of clutter and colours. With lots of pets mixed in for good measure. The benefit of nice warm neutral flooring and countertop? Hides the hideous amount of pet hair. And spilled coffee that I missed when wiping up.

You see, hot mess is the best descriptor :)

Btw--Curtis is looking pretty darned cute in that bow tie!

She should know better, really. I'm worried about her.

I do rather enjoy that large flag...but the kitchen looks like a science lab. And not in a good way.

In other news, I shall be responding to your query later today. :)

Live Big today, Tiny!

Grin. --Yuck! Makes me feel so much better about my own decor, and I bet it was cheaper too.

Don't know that I love the fluffy pink room either though.

As to the comment about a science lab, my husband's an experimental physics grad student working on his PhD. His lab is def nicer than this kitchen. ;D I'd say it looks more like an industrialized dairy.

That kitchen is so cold ice cream would stay frozen out on the counter. I'm not a fan of all white rooms. I like to eat chocolate and watch tv, which is not recommended for white couches, chairs, or love seats.

Agreed! How can you go so far away from the SGG house? Blasphemy!

Grace, lol. The flag completely bums me out in that space. Too much contrast against the white, makes it look garish and I feel like its yelling "Patriotism!" AT me!

I can relate to hot mess!! Someone asked me if Curtis sheds a lot as he's half black lab. I realized "not that I see on OUR stuff!" I believe in colors and fabrics that hide as I don't want to clean constantly.

It DOES look science labby! <-----isn't really a word. Get your beakers out!

Lol on industrialized dairy!!

And let's add red wine too... Or even a glass of pink lemonade would spell disaster in this home!

The apartment had so much potential! I am disappointed too. I was hoping for something with a little more personality.
